Terms of Service

These terms explain how working with Straight Six Studio works. Straight Six Studio is a sole proprietorship based on Long Island, New York. When this page says “we” or “us,” it means Straight Six Studio. When it says “you,” it means the shop or business we work for.
We build and look after websites and branding for auto body, collision and auto repair shops on Long Island and beyond. That includes website design, hosting and maintenance, Google Business Profile setup, logo and branding, review help, branded email signatures, branded document templates, e signature setup, advertising setup, and optional call and text handling for shops (missed call text back, an after hours phone assistant and review request texts).
We don’t list prices on this site. Every shop gets its own quote after a call, and your signed agreement spells out your plan, your price and what’s included.
Refunds and Cancellation
The short version
- Every monthly plan has a 12 month minimum term.
- After 12 months, you can cancel any time with 30 days notice by email.
- Canceling early costs two months of your plan, or your waived setup fee if we waived it.
- Setup fees are not refundable once design work starts.
- Annual prepayments are not refundable.
Your plan and its term
Every monthly plan has a 12 month minimum term. After the first 12 months, your plan keeps going month to month. From then on, either of us can cancel with 30 days written notice. An email counts as written notice.
Canceling in the first 12 months
If you cancel during the first 12 months, an early cancellation fee applies. The fee equals two months of your plan.
If we waived your setup fee when you signed up, the waived setup fee becomes due instead of the two month fee.
Setup fees
Setup fees are due when you sign. Once we start design work, the setup fee is not refundable. For larger projects, the setup fee may be split into two payments: half when you sign and half when your site launches.
Paying for a full year up front
If you prepay for a full year, you get two months free. Annual prepayments are not refundable.
How to cancel
Email us at alex@straightsixstudio.com and tell us you want to cancel. We’ll confirm by email and let you know your last day of service and anything still owed.
Billing and payments
Monthly plans are billed automatically. We accept bank transfer (ACH), check, and credit or debit card.
If a payment fails, we’ll let you know. If it isn’t sorted out within 14 days of that notice, we may pause your website or services until your account is current.
Your rate is locked for 12 months
Your monthly rate stays the same for your first 12 months. If the price changes after that, we’ll tell you at least 60 days ahead of time.
Monthly edits
Each plan includes a set amount of edit time every month. Your agreement says how much. Edits cover things like your hours, prices, photos, text and seasonal promotions.
Unused edit time doesn’t roll over to the next month. Bigger projects, like new pages or a redesign, are quoted separately.
Who owns what
You own your domain name, your website content, your photos and your logo. That’s true no matter whose account the domain was registered under.
When you leave, we transfer your domain to you and send you a full copy of your website files within 14 days. This happens once your term has ended, or once any early cancellation fee has been paid. Hosting ends when your service ends.
Your part
You’re responsible for making sure the information, photos and logos you give us are accurate, and that you have the right to use them.
We also format documents and set them up for e signature, like repair authorizations or direction to pay forms. You’re responsible for the wording and the legal content of those documents. We handle the design and setup only.
Outside services
Some of what we do depends on other companies, like Google, payment processors, hosting providers, e signature tools and phone or text platforms. We aren’t responsible for their outages, changes or fees.
Any fees you pay directly to those companies, like ad spend or an e signature subscription, are separate from what you pay us.
Search results and leads
We work hard to improve how your shop shows up online. But we can’t promise specific search rankings, a number of reviews, a number of calls, or a certain amount of revenue.
Limits on our liability
If something goes wrong, the most we can owe you is the total you paid us in the three months before the problem. We aren’t responsible for indirect losses, like lost profits.
New York law
These terms are governed by the laws of New York State.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we’ll change the date at the top of this page.
If this page and your signed agreement ever say different things, your signed agreement wins.
